Kriya Yoga
The word Kriya means performing action. Kriya Yoga means performing action to achieve oneness with the universe using simple psychophysiological methods by which the human blood is decarbonised and recharged with oxygen. The atoms of this extra oxygen are transmuted into life current to rejuvenate the brain and spinal centres. The Brain uses the highest level of oxygen in the body. By preventing the accumulation of venous blood, the practitioner is able to stop the decay of cells & tissues in the physical body. The advanced yogi transmutes his cells into pure light energy i.e. source energy.
Kriya Yoga is an instrument through which human evolution can be quickened. It is the quick answer to the modern high stress society. The ancient yogis discovered that the secret of cosmic consciousness is intimately linked with breath mastery. The life force, which is ordinarily absorbed in maintaining the heart-pump, must be freed for higher activities by a method of calming and stilling the ceaseless demands of the breath.
Half-minute of Kriya equals one year of natural spiritual unfoldment.
Prana Kriyas: Advanced Breath-work
Mastering the breath is the ultimate spiritual mastery. Our Breath is a doorway to infinite energy(prana, chi, ki) freely available to everyone of us. Learning how to harness this infinite energy allows the energy body release trapped and blocked negative energy in our system and enhance our overall life experience.
We breathe more than oxygen. We breathe prana energy that flows through 72,000 Nadis (energy channels) & regulates them with every breath. Subtle changes in the rhythm of breathing change the entire functioning of the human body. The breath is a divine tool that connects the physical & emotional bodies, is functioning with & without consciousness, comes through birth & leaves through death.
Prana Kriyas are powerful advanced breath work techniques that bring in more life energy with every inhalation . This extra life force opens up blockedenergy channels & balances the important Ida & Pingala Nadis. The Susushmna or Kundalini Nadi can rise once this balance is maintained. Oneness & Yoga is experienced when the Kundalini becomes one with the Sahasrara Chakra (Crown).
Bandhas:
The word Bandha means lock in Sanskrit. They are neuromuscular locks applied in different parts of the body like throat, abdomen and perineum and redirect the flow of energy for the purpose of spiritual awakening. They are also powerful ways in which to raise the energy and take it upwards, as opposed to its natural flow downwards, due to the gravitational pull. The air pressure created while practising a Bandha moves trapped & locked energy in the Nadis and allows the life forces to flow freely through the entire system.
The Bandhas aim to lock the vital energy in particular areas of the body that work directly on the endocrine system and optimise hormonal levels in the body The Bandhas relieve are known to relieve dormant depression, to make a person happier, calmer and to lose stubborn weight caused by thyroid gland dysfunction.
